Presenting regional labor market data in an easily digestible format, our interactive dashboards enable students and their advisors to see how career interests align with actual job opportunities. These tools answer questions such as “What are well-paying jobs in my local area and what education do they require?” and “What are the career outcomes of graduates of Texas public colleges by major?”

A first-of-its-kind tool in the US, Navigator features an online, searchable directory of high-value, career-focused postsecondary programs in a target local region. It provides detailed information on a wide variety of technical and professional programs offering a good return on investment, from building-trade apprenticeships to an HVAC associate degree to a bachelor’s in accounting or nursing to a combined BS/Ph.D. in physical therapy. Navigator also features “Spotlights,” snapshots of selected career paths, and information on postsecondary programs leading to those paths.

NGT provides training to advisors and teachers of partner organizations on how to use our tools to identify high value postsecondary and career options for their students. Training is online or in person. We can also develop customized lesson plans for partners who want to integrate NGT tools and decision-making strategies into their career development courses and advising programs.

Our Postsecondary Access Guides support our training by providing detailed snapshots of the Career Areas included in our Navigator platform so that advisors are informed and knowledgeable about the most relevant labor market data, admissions processes and expectations for programs in that career area, and helpful tips to remember as they advise students.
